How long does a die quote take?

Metrar replies within 24 business hours, with the quote or with the questions it needs answered to prepare it.

What do I need to send to get a die quote?

The profile drawing, ideally as DWG or DXF; PDF, STEP or a photo of a sketch with the dimensions also work. Add what it is for, how much you will need and the finish, if you already know it.

What is an extrusion die?

It is the steel part with an opening in the shape of your profile: hot aluminium is pushed through it and comes out in that shape. It is made once and lasts for many production runs.

Is my drawing stored, or can anyone else see it?

It is not stored on the site: it travels by email to Metrar so they can quote you, and only if you authorise it. If you need a signed confidentiality agreement, ask info@aluminio.ar for one before sending it.
