Copper at USD 10 a pound in 2027 would speed up its replacement by aluminium
Deutsche Bank projects that copper could reach USD 10 per pound in the second quarter of 2027, equivalent to USD 22,050 per tonne. Such an extreme price would create a paradox, accelerating the replacement of the metal by aluminium in various industries because of its high cost.
